Hello whiskey friends!
Frey Ranch started as a labor of love, literally speaking. Colby Frey, a fifth generation grain farmer from the middle of Northwest Nevada, met his wife, Ashley, in college. Having a shared love for whiskey, Ashley and Colby said "hey, we run a grain farm - why don't we run a distillery as well?" It's actually a wonder none of the Freys preceding Colby ever thought of it!
Using only the grain grown on the farm, the Freys are truly grain-to-glass. Everything from malting to bottling happens on that 1,500 acre farm. And it has paid off: just this year, Frey Ranch was crowned the Most Awarded Distillery of the Year at the ASCOT Awards.
